Offensive Marks and Free Speech

Michael G. Kelber, co-chair of the Intellectual Property & Technology Transactions practice group, and Associate Andrew S. Fraker co-authored the article "Offensive Marks and Free Speech," published in the December/January edition of Intellectual Property Magazine. The article discusses the ongoing Redskins and The Slants trademark cases, and why the U.S. Supreme Court should preserve the government's ability to deny disparaging trademarks.
