A Neal Gerber Eisenberg team led by Partner Jonathan Quinn and working in conjunction with the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law’s Center on Wrongful Convictions obtained a jury verdict of not guilty for Kerry Masterson, convicted of murder and incarcerated since 2009.
Kerry Masterson was freed on November 2, 2017, when the jury for her retrial found her not guilty. The NGE pro bono team also included Collette Brown, Eric Choi and Aidan Gilbert. The retrial team worked with the Center for Wrongful Convictions, where Jonathan Quinn is an Advisory Board Member, to reach the end result. The Center’s Andrea Lewis launched the appeal of Masterson’s conviction and also shared in the retrial team effort.
