Eric Choi, a partner in the Litigation practice group and chair of the Summer Associate Hiring Committee, was recently quoted in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin article “Firms Say Hybrid Summer Programs Prepare Future Lawyers for New Normal.” The article discusses the challenges law firms face in integrating hybrid work schedules into their summer associate programs. With some days spent working remotely, firms are finding ways to ensure that summer associates continue to learn and network effectively.
“Each of the summers has an associate and partner mentor who are focusing on coming in on the same days that the associates come in and ensuring whether it’s in-person or otherwise, that they’re there to facilitate meetings, different communication strategies, providing feedback, helping them understand how to navigate social issues and personalities,” said Choi.
