Joan is a member of the firm's Private Wealth Services practice group. Joan’s practice includes drafting estate plans, forming and advising various types of business entities and representing clients in trust and estate related controversies.

Joan is also a Certified Public Accountant and has extensive experience auditing, investigating and/or litigating a wide range of cases involving complex financial transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Joan spent several years working on white collar defense and commercial litigation matters involving high net worth clients. Joan also worked as an auditor for the government, including the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois, Criminal Division.

Joan earned her law degree from The John Marshall Law School, where she graduated cum laude and was a member of The John Marshall Law Review. She received her undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of Tennessee.
