Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP has been selected to receive a 2016 Outstanding Employer Award from the University of Chicago’s Office of Career Advancement. The award recognizes employers who have been outstanding partners to the university and who make a positive impact on the lives of UChicago students. Only a select few of Career Advancement’s 800+ employer partners receive this award.

Neal Gerber Eisenberg has been involved with the university’s Jeff Metcalf Internship Program for more than a decade, bringing in two interns each summer to explore a future career in law. The firm’s internships are unique in offering students the opportunity to rotate through various practice groups. This experience provides students broader exposure to various areas of the law and facilitates mentoring relationships with attorneys throughout the firm.

Neal Gerber Eisenberg continues its relationships with many past Metcalf interns, assisting with the law school application process and beyond. The firm is proud to announce both of its Metcalf interns from 2015 are now first year law students at the University of Chicago.

Overall, partners in the Metcalf program helped a record number of UChicago students add a meaningful experience to their resumes last year. Students received 1,950 paid, substantive internships and 93 percent of the Class of 2016 graduated with post-college placements secured.
