On Tuesday, October 20, Corporate & Securities partner John Koenigsknecht participated in the panel discussion "Resilience Required: M&A Dealmaking in the COVID-19 Era" at the Interlaw 2020 Virtual Annual Global Meeting. John also serves as the Global Chair of the Mergers and Acquisition Special Business Team for Interlaw.

The discussion focused on how the pandemic has created new rules of engagement for M&A activity around the globe, including: enhancements in M&A due diligence to identify how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted target companies; a look at COVID-19 related Purchase Agreement Clauses; certain COVID-19 related public company considerations and disclosures; a review of Asia-Pacific M&A activity; and a case study on the difficulty of negotiating and transacting an M&A deal during COVID.
