Phillip Stern, senior counsel in the firm’s Securities Litigation group, was recently quoted in The Bond Buyer article “Former Jefferies Dealer Settles SEC Charges of Placing Fraudulent Retail Orders,” published on September 23.  In the article, Phillip discusses how the SEC is focused on protecting retail investors in the aftermath of a former broker-dealer at Jeffries LLC being charged with improperly placing retail orders for new issue municipal bonds on behalf of a registered broker-dealer.
