"As chief operating officer, Sonia Menon oversees information technology, human resources, marketing and facilities. Menon organized the redesign of the law firm’s space, resulting in a more efficient and reduced footprint. She led the shift to a digital virtual working environment and enhanced employee flexibility by implementing a remote-work policy. She is the driving force behind the firm’s wellness initiative. Menon joined Neal Gerber in 2001 as director of professional recruitment and development and served as chief talent officer before taking on the COO role in 2014. She was instrumental in the founding of the firm’s women’s network and diversity and inclusion committees, and she spurred family-friendly policies such as expanded parental leave. Menon has spoken at conferences on law firm economics, diversity, the #MeToo movement and other topics."
