Her approach is rooted in partnership: she invests in relationships, listens actively, and provides strategic guidance that helps clients move forward with certainty.

Tanvi’s practice encompasses all facets of intellectual property law, allowing her to effectively protect and advance client innovations. Drawing on her background in electrical engineering and prior industry experience at Caterpillar Inc., she offers a distinctive technical and business perspective on patent procurement strategies and provides informed counsel on non-infringement and enforcement matters. Her litigation experience spans every phase of patent, trademark, and copyright disputes, from pre-suit investigations and claim construction through trial and appeal. Tanvi has successfully represented domestic and international companies in matters involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

On the transactional side, Tanvi manages patent portfolios, advises on strategic procurement, negotiates licensing agreements, and conducts non-infringement and invalidity assessments.

Tanvi is committed to serving both the legal profession and the broader community. Through her active involvement with Ms. JD, a national organization dedicated to mentoring women in law, she fosters growth, confidence, and connection at every stage of legal careers. She also supports the South Asian Bar Association (SABA) Chicago Foundation, contributing to initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion in the profession. Extending her impact beyond the legal field, Tanvi recently joined the board of The Volunteer Center, whose mission is to promote volunteerism, support nonprofit organizations, and engage people in meaningful service across the communities it serves.

Within the firm, Tanvi fosters connection and community by organizing events that create space for meaningful dialogue, mentorship, and collaboration through NGE’s Women’s Network.
