Neal Gerber Eisenberg is delighted to announce that Corporate partner Brian Crump has been named one of the “40 Under Forty 2025 – Illinois Attorneys to Watch” by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin.

This honor recognizes attorneys who demonstrate excellence in the legal profession and are viewed by fellow attorneys as the next generation of leaders and trailblazers. Individuals are selected based on peer nominations.

Brian manages a thriving corporate practice focused on venture capital, private equity, and strategic transactions, particularly for startups and early-stage companies. He advises clients across a range of industries on mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, financings, and asset dispositions. His background as a licensed real estate broker, commercial property manager, and startup consultant at 1871—Chicago’s premier tech incubator—gives him a rare perspective that clients deeply value. He also co-founded Chicago Early Growth Ventures, an angel investing group that supports emerging businesses across the region. Brian also gives back to the community by volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago and as an associate board member of Culinary Care, a nonprofit focused on providing meals to cancer patients and their families during treatment.

“Brian is an exceptional talent—an attorney whose legal acumen is matched only by his entrepreneurial spirit, community leadership, and unwavering commitment to client success, said Bobby Gerber, NGE Managing Partner. “He is widely respected by peers and clients alike for his innovative thinking, tireless work ethic, and collaborative spirit. Clients consistently describe him as driven, grounded, and generous with his time and insight – someone who brings a “give first” mentality and a creative, solutions-oriented approach to every challenge.”

Brian’s selection marks the 16th consecutive year an NGE attorney has been featured. This recognition emphasizes our commitment to fostering an environment that empowers our attorneys to excel both in the legal field and within the community.
