His experience includes structuring, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements, including software-as-a-service, patent, trademark, know-how, software, and other technology licensing agreements, intellectual property transfer agreements, outsourcing and professional services agreements, data licensing agreements, joint venture, strategic alliance, and similar collaboration agreements, marketing services agreements, and software escrow agreements. Alfred also regularly counsels clients in structuring and drafting website and mobile application terms of service, consumer-facing privacy policies, and end user license agreements.
In addition, Alfred has experience advising on data privacy and security issues that arise within software-as-a-service and similar other technology-related agreements. He has also counseled clients on general compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other data protection laws and regulations, from drafting and negotiating data processing agreements to navigating complex and wide-ranging data compliance issues.
