NGE Financial Restructuring partner Nicholas Miller was recently selected to serve a two-year term on the Bankruptcy Liaison Committee for the Northern District of Illinois.  The Bankruptcy Court Liaison Committee was formed to assist the Court and attorneys create a more efficient working environment by, among other things, (i) offering educational programs regarding issues affecting the bench, attorneys, financial institutions, and consumers, (ii) creating social opportunities to facilitate greater interaction between the Court and those who appear before it, and (iii) providing an vehicle through which interested parties may relay issues, concerns, or ideas to the Bankruptcy Judges.

The Committee consists of a select group of sixteen attorneys, the Chief Judge of the Bankruptcy Court and three other sitting bankruptcy judges, along with two representatives of the Office of the Clerk of the Bankruptcy Court.
