Adam, a registered patent attorney, assists clients in obtaining and maximizing the value of their intellectual property portfolios. His practice encompasses every facet of intellectual property protection and portfolio development, with a strong emphasis on preparing, filing, and prosecuting client patent applications, counseling clients on enforcing patents against competitors, helping clients avoid infringement of competitor patents, and assisting clients in monetizing their patent portfolios.

He began his career participating in more than 50 patent infringement lawsuits involving varied technologies. This patent litigation experience enabled Adam to develop a highly strategic approach to creating valuable intellectual property portfolios and using them to assist clients in maximizing revenue from such assets.

Adam diligently works to ensure that his clients’ intellectual property assets are closely aligned with their business plans and goals. He regularly works directly with inventors and product developers to accomplish these goals. He also regularly interacts with patent and trademark examiners at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to minimize examination delays and maximize the scope and length of intellectual property protection for his clients.

He also helps his clients prepare and negotiate agreements such as intellectual property license agreements, research and development agreements, collaboration agreements, consulting agreements, supply and distribution agreements, and confidentiality agreements.

Adam’s practice further includes conducting due diligence investigations for purchasers of businesses, investors in businesses, and investors in IP assets. He regularly provides different levels of due diligence tailored to client needs and levels of potential investment.

Adam has a computer science/mathematics degree and has helped clients patent technology in a wide variety of industries and technologies such as gaming systems, computer software, railroad parts, coating technologies, construction tools, parts and supplies, medical devices, and launch and retrieval systems for remotely piloted aircraft.

Clients value Adam’s exceptional ability to boil down sophisticated concepts and draft patent applications and agreements using language that anyone can understand. Adam believes in developing long-term relationships with clients. He recognizes the need to provide IP services within client budgets. He has established relationships with several clients to provide large volume patent preparation services according to agreed-upon flat fee schedules. He is always willing to discuss alternative fee arrangements with clients.

  • Responsible for developing extensive patent portfolio commodity products to prevent competitors infringements in highly competitive industries.
  • Responsible for assisting clients in out-licensing technology while minimizing potential theft of such technology by the licensees.
