Neal Gerber Eisenberg Secures Ranking of Private Wealth Services Practice Group and Three Attorneys in the Chambers High Net Worth 2018 Edition

Chambers High Net Worth yesterday announced its annual results for 2018, which include the Neal Gerber Eisenberg Private Wealth Services practice group and three attorneys. Neal Gerber Eisenberg congratulates the partners ranked in the Private Wealth Law in Illinois category: Lawrence Richman, Susan Goldenberg and Eric Mann. The firm is also pleased that the practice has been distinguished as one of only eight firms recognized in Illinois.

Chambers & Partners, one of the world’s leading legal directories, conducts independent research that relies on feedback from industry leaders and clients to identify the top attorneys and law firms from around the world. Starting two years ago, Chambers began publishing boutique guides separate from its traditional geographically based lawyer rankings.

Chambers describes the team as “a well-regarded private wealth services group in Chicago, which counsels wealthy individuals and families on tax and estate planning matters. It assists clients with probate and estate administration, philanthropic giving and business succession planning.” A client indicates, “The estate planning team is absolutely superb...  I can't think of anything I would want them to improve - they are superb, the best lawyers I have ever had in any field."

Yesterday’s announcement marks the first Chambers ranking for Sue and Eric, as well as the first Chambers High Net Worth ranking for the practice as a whole. Before publication of the High Net Worth Guide began, Larry and the practice were ranked in Chambers USA every year beginning in 2006.

“Our Private Wealth Services group is known nationally for thought leadership and exceptional client service. We are very pleased that Chambers recognizes the group and the work of Larry, Sue and Eric,” said Scott Fisher, managing partner of Neal Gerber Eisenberg.

As part of its research process, Chambers solicits feedback from firm clients. Comments received about Larry Richman in the current guide include:

“Larry is a very smart guy and he is certainly capable of thinking out of the box – he’s clever and creative, and he is experienced...  it’s been a great experience working with him. He's everything I would want in an estate planning lawyer and family adviser.”

And about Sue Goldenberg:

“She’s terrific, a smart lawyer and very good with clients, with closely held businesses. She has good knowledge in the real estate area. She’s a terrific person - smart, witty, good with people, communicates well and follows up.”

Finally, about Eric Mann:

“[H]e’s someone I think does a really good job with his clients. He seems to be very thoughtful and doing sophisticated work. He's extremely bright.” “Eric is definitely a proactive attorney,” reports a separate interviewee; “very creative, very punctual, and he is overall just a pleasure to deal with, both on professional and personal side. His client interaction is very good and his technical skills are off the charts - when Eric creates a document, it’s done in a timely and efficient manner, and you can rely on the accuracy of it. He’s very open and communicates very frequently. He does a great job of handling our account and is adored by all family members.”
