Steve Pflaum, co-chair of the firm’s Litigation group, was recently quoted in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin article “High Court Order Limits Freezes on Bank Accounts,” published on April 24. In the article, Steve discusses the Illinois Supreme Court emergency order lifting freezes on bank accounts for people who have had garnishments or citations served on their banks, but who don’t have access to court to assert their automatic $4,000 exemption. Steve worked with lawyers from the creditors’ bar and legal aid groups to draft the order that was ultimately issued by the Supreme Court.
