Matthew is an associate in the Corporate & Securities practice group. He provides legal services and representation related to several areas of corporate and commercial transactions, including M&A (buy- and sell-side), private equity portfolio management, venture capital transactions and corporate compliance. He has represented private equity funds and their portfolio companies on a variety of issues, including the formation of funds, raising of capital, management of transactions and subsequent compliance.

Matthew regularly advises clients and companies on a wide variety of corporate matters. As a founder, investor and operator of several venture stage companies, Matthew is thoroughly familiar with entrepreneurship, company formation and the management and acquisition of funding for start-up companies.

While attending law school, Matthew received the Charles Shaw Award for his work as a staff member of the Chicago-Kent Law Review. As President of the Chicago-Kent Moot Court Honor Society, he also won the 2015 National Moot Court Competition and was selected as one of the Top 5 Oral Advocates in both the 2015 and 2016 American Bar Association Competitions.
