Seth D. Lamden, partner in the Insurance Policyholder practice group, will present at the 16th Annual Legal Malpractice & Risk Management Conference in Chicago on March 1, 2017. Seth’s will participate in a panel on “Insurance Coverage Update: How Plaintiffs and Insureds Attack Coverage Denials and Reservations of Rights.” Discussion topics include: the right of an insurer to seek reimbursement of defense costs paid by an insurer when there was ultimately a determination that the claim was not covered; the ability of an insured to stay a coverage case pending the resolution of the underlying malpractice case and the right of a federal court to abstain from deciding a coverage action; and more.
