Neal Gerber Eisenberg Promotes Two Attorneys to Partner in Intellectual Property and Real Estate Practice Groups

Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of associates Kevin A. O’Connor, Ph.D. and David L. Theyssen to partner. 

A registered patent attorney, O’Connor is experienced in all aspects of patent law, including patent prosecution, strategic management of patent portfolios, due diligence investigations for acquisitions and mergers, freedom to operate investigations, post-grant practice and litigation. In addition to his J.D., which he received with high honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law, O’Connor holds a Ph.D. in neuroscience. His law practice encompasses work involving a broad spectrum of technologies in the biotechnological, pharmaceutical and medical device arts. 

Theyssen, a member of the firm’s Real Estate practice group, assists real estate investment trusts, real estate investment companies, banks and investors with the legal aspects of a wide range of real estate transactions, including financings, acquisitions and dispositions. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law.
