Neal Gerber Eisenberg Advises Goldcorp Inc. in Acquisition of Exeter Resource Corporation

Neal Gerber Eisenberg (NGE) represented Goldcorp Inc. as U.S. counsel in its acquisition of Exeter Resource Corporation. The NGE team was led by Partner David S. Stone, with assistance from Partners John J. Koenigsknecht and Betsy C. Thelen, Senior Counsel Beth J. Rosner, and Associate J. Akele Parnell. The transaction valued at approximately C$247 million is expected to close no later than June 30, 2017.

Exeter's primary asset is the 100%-owned Caspiche project located in the Maricunga mineral belt in Chile, approximately 10 km north of the Cerro Casale project. Caspiche is a gold-copper porphyry system with an oxide gold zone on surface and a high-grade gold-copper core, which has the potential to be developed as a high tonnage, long life mining operation.
