Neal Gerber Eisenberg Achieves Mansfield 3.0 Certification

Neal Gerber Eisenberg is proud to announce that it has attained Mansfield 3.0 Certification after successfully completing the 12-month certification program led by Diversity Lab.

To achieve Mansfield Certification, NGE confirmed that at least 30% of the candidates it considered for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities, and senior lateral positions were historically underrepresented lawyers, including women, attorneys of color, LGBTQ+ lawyers and lawyers with disabilities.

“Our strategic vision recognizes that attorneys with diverse backgrounds, experiences and insights allow us to better serve our clients and our community,” said Scott Fisher, Managing Partner. “NGE's decision to participate in the Mansfield Rule formalizes what we, as a management team, have done informally for some time. It is an important step toward a more inclusive culture, and it aligns with our efforts to ensure that every individual at the firm has the same opportunities to advance and succeed.”

The Mansfield Rule aims to increase the representation of diverse lawyers in law firm leadership roles by broadening the pool of candidates considered for those opportunities. The certification is named for Arabella Mansfield, the first female lawyer in the United States.
