On October 4, 2019, Nick Miller presented "Don't Become a News Desert" at the National Newspaper Association's 133rd Annual Convention and Trade Show, held in Milwaukee.  Nick's presentation covered his experiences with several recent media restructurings and referenced two groundbreaking studies by Penelope Muse Abernathy, Knight Chair in Journalism and Digital Media Economics at the University of North Carolina Center for Innovation and Sustainability in Local Media.
