Neal Gerber Eisenberg is proud to announce that it has attained Mansfield 2.0 Certification after successfully completing the twelve-month certification program led by Diversity Lab.
To achieve Mansfield certification, NGE verified that at least 30 percent of the candidate pool for partner promotions, lateral partner and associate hires, leadership positions, committee appointments, and formal client pitches at NGE consisted of women, attorneys of color and/or LGBTQ+ lawyers.

As a firm, NGE continues to promote diversity and inclusion as it works towards Mansfield 3.0 certification, the next phase in the Mansfield Rule. Mansfield 3.0 widens the requirements of the candidate pool for leadership roles to include those with disabilities, in addition to women, lawyers of color, and LGBTQ+ lawyers.

The Mansfield Rule aims to increase the representation of diverse lawyers in law firm leadership roles by broadening the pool of candidates considered for those positions. It is named for Arabella Mansfield, the first female lawyer in the United States. It was one of the winning ideas from Diversity Lab’s 2016 Women in Law Hackathon, in which NGE Partner Leah Schleicher participated.
