The Legal 500 USA Recommends Five Neal Gerber Eisenberg Practices and 19 Attorneys in the 2019 Edition

Five Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP practice groups and 19 attorneys have been recognized among the top in the nation in the newly released 2019 edition of The Legal 500 United States.

The firm is recommended in the areas of M&A/Corporate & Commercial: M&A: Middle-market (sub-$500 million);  Intellectual Property: Trademarks Litigation;  Real Estate;  Employee Benefits, Executive Compensation and Retirement Plans: Design;  and US Taxes: Non-contentious.  In addition, Jill Berkeley is listed as an elite Leading Lawyer in the Industry Focus – Insurance: Advice to Policyholders area.

The firm’s Intellectual Property practice group is newly ranked for its Trademark Litigation work.  Kevin May is noted for his defense of Duracell against Energizer, Michael Kelber for his work with GI Sportz, and Lee Eulgen for his representation of Blue Cross Blue Shield.

The Legal 500 notes the Corporate practice group “regularly handles complex M&A and stands out for its assistance to issuers in the metals and mining space.”  David Stone and John Koenigsknecht are recommended for their work leading the firm’s Cross-Border and International practice group.  Michael Gray, Tina DeMento and Josh Klein are also recommended for their corporate work.

Real Estate chair Doug Lubelchek was described by a client as “an outstanding attorney and an excellent negotiator.”  Doug Ellis is also recommended for his acquisition work with M&J Wilkow, Darrin Forbes for his wide range of experience in various asset classes, and Avram Feldman for his focus in tax planning, joint ventures and acquisitions.

Jeff Bakker and Patty Cain, co-chairs of the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice group, are recommended for their work in the design and implementation of the full range of plans including 401(k), healthcare and pension arrangements, and also provides comprehensive ERISA compliance advise.  Also recommended is Linda Hoseman for her qualified retirement and welfare benefit plans.
