Christopher C. Anderson has joined Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP as an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions practice group.
Anderson focuses his practice on representing companies in a wide variety of complex intellectual property and commercial transactions. His experience includes structuring, drafting and negotiating all types of such transactions, including patent, trademark, software, know-how, trade secret and other technology license agreements, outsourcing, consulting and strategic alliance transactions, services agreements, product sales and distribution arrangements, manufacturing agreements, technology development and transfers, reseller and distributor agreements, and hosting and other e-commerce agreements.
Anderson also has experience counseling clients on issues in connection with open source software and data privacy and security. He has advised on intellectual property issues in corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, debt financing, public offerings and bankruptcy.
Anderson has counseled clients and handled transactions in a wide variety of fields, including in the automotive, financial, e-commerce, food, medical devices, aviation and data gathering industries, to name just a few.
While in law school, Chris was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as Executive Editor of the Illinois Law Review. He was named a Harno Scholar for ranking in the top 10 percent of his class each semester, and received CALI Awards for the highest grade in both Patent Law and Antitrust & IP.
Anderson is admitted to practice in both Illinois and Washington, and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
