Neal Gerber Eisenberg Welcomes Four Attorneys to Partnership in Its Intellectual Property and Litigation Groups

Neal Gerber Eisenberg (NGE) is pleased to announce the election of four associates to the firm’s partnership. Eric Y. Choi of the firm’s Litigation group and Christopher C. Anderson, Thomas J. Campbell, Jr., and Katherine Dennis Nye of the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology Transactions group have been promoted to partner.

The promotion of Anderson, Campbell and Nye enhances the strength of NGE’s Intellectual Property group, a team of 37 attorneys serving the intellectual property needs of clients around the globe. Anderson’s practice focuses on representing companies in a wide variety of complex intellectual property and commercial transactions. His experience includes structuring, drafting and negotiating all types of patent, trademark, software, know-how, trade secret and other technology license agreements, and developing outsourcing, consulting and strategic alliance transactions. He has advised on intellectual property issues in corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, debt financing, public offerings and bankruptcy.

Campbell represents clients in patent and trademark prosecution, litigation, and post-grant challenges before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He has broad experience in various technological and business areas, with particular knowledge in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical and medical device inventions. Before becoming a lawyer, he worked for Abbott Laboratories as a pharmacologist. He has published peer-reviewed scientific journal articles, including multiple articles in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and the Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology.

Nye focuses her practice on managing intellectual property policing and enforcement matters at all stages and assisting clients with their branding and marketing needs. Her litigation experience includes both federal court and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board proceedings. She regularly works with clients to vet marketing and promotional materials. She has also assisted clients in responding to inquiries from the Federal Trade Commission regarding advertisements and in assessing competitor claims of false advertising under the Lanham Act.

Choi’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation matters including licensing, breach of contract, compliance with consumer protection laws, tort defense, and insurance recovery. He advises corporate and individual policyholders concerning insurance coverage issues and disputes in addition to litigating on behalf of his clients. He has first--chaired jury trials, entrenched himself in complex and protracted discovery phases of litigation, briefed and argued numerous dispositive motions, advocated in the appellate courts on behalf of his clients, and argued before the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, securing a complete reversal on behalf of his client.
